The Stanley 1913 brand has been associated with steep durability for more than a century, as demonstrated by its” Built for Life” motto. With the launch of its new Take Back program, an initiative designed to encourage responsible recycling of beloved Stanley products made of steel and stainless steel, the company is then taking that commitment a major step further.
The brand’s long-standing commitment to sustainability and its goal of creating a less biodegradable world by actively promoting a circular economy are highlighted by the new program, which was announced by parent company PMI WW Brands, LLC.
Our” Built for Life” promise has always been at the center of our commitment to sustainability, with a focus on strength, design, and sourcing. We’re keeping that promise with the new Take Back program, according to Graham Nearn, main product and sustainability officer at PMI WW Brands. Making it simpler for products to begin their following chapter, we’re empowering our community to ensure their beloved products never go bad. This is how we work together to improve the world and the world by contributing to a round economy.
OLD STANLEY, NEW LIFE
The procedure is made to be straightforward and cost-free for consumers. Customers can return their unused goods on the Stanley 1913 website, generate a prepaid shipping label or QR code, and log in with their goods. Once delivered, the items are routed to PMI WW Brand’s U.S.-based recycling partner, where they are properly disassembled, sorted, and recycled.
Stanley is providing a few incentives to say thank you for your participation. Customers will receive a$ 5 discount code when making purchases on the company’s website. For every item returned that qualifies, PMI WW Brands will also donate$ 5 to Ocean Conservancy, a global non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting a healthy ocean and a prosperous planet.
” Anyone trying to protect our ocean from plastic pollution should make no secret of switching to reusable products wherever possible,” said Ocean Conservancy’s Nicholas Mallos, Vice President of Conservation, Ocean Plastics. Our partnership with Stanley 1913 is based on a shared desire to see a more lasting future. We are delighted to see them introduce a program to ensure that their recyclable goods don’t end up in landfills.
Take Back is now offered in the contiguous United States, and it allows up to four ready items per person each year. This makes it simple for customers to responsibly part with their used equipment without causing any landfill waste.
A STRENGTHY COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY IS AGREEKING
The launch of the Take Back initiative is a natural extension of Stanley 1913’s established sustainability initiatives, which include a focus on using recycled materials, low-impact manufacturing, and social sourcing. In accordance with the brand’s most recent Impact Report, suppliers generated more than 11 million kilowatt hours of solar energy on-site and 65 % of the materials used in Stanley products in 2024.
With this new initiative, Stanley 1913 not merely confirms its commitment to durability, but it also provides a tangible way for its community to get involved in its effort to advance more sustainable development. Visit www.takeback .org to learn more about the program. stanley1913.com/takeback.
