Bold flavors and freshly prepared, wok-fired Eastern cuisine have long sparked a conversation at Ling’s Wok Shop. Through Cooking With a Cause, a three-month give-back campaign benefiting Make-A-Wish Arizona, the global nonprofit organization that grants life-changing wishes to children with vital illnesses, the Scottsdale restaurant is beginning this winter as a new reason to dine with purpose. &nbsp,

A portion of the proceeds from each dish ordered from Ling’s Favorites will be donated to Make-A-Wish Arizona throughout January, February, and March. Just by savoring the strong, common flavors they now love, the campaign offers a simple way for guests to support children and families during some of their life’s most difficult moments.

” Make-A-Wish left a lasting impression on us,” said John Banquil, the Ling’s Wok Shop owner. One of our long-standing regulars, who introduced us to the organization, and we collaborated with them next year, made us aware that we wanted to continue this. Their work is strong, intimate, and deeply rooted in our community.

Since 1980, Make-A-Wish Arizona has fulfilled more than 8,500 wishes for Arizona children. It has celebrated 46 years of granting wishes in the state. The organization served children in 15 counties last year alone, granted a record-breaking 476 wishes, and gave experiences that health professionals claim can improve mental strength, resilience, and adherence to treatment.

According to Jessica Haag, senior director of PR and marketing for Make-A-Wish Arizona,” when local businesses step off, they help turn hope into reality for wish children and their families.” Partnerships like this allow us to keep fulfilling wishes that give joy, strength, and a sense of possibility to children who are in critical condition. Every meal ordered brings us closer to the wishes of each enrolled child.

The work of Make-A-Wish Arizona covers the state and helps children with a variety of serious health conditions. &nbsp,

&nbsp, and other key programs and services are included.
