Give children the gift that keeps on giving this holiday season, the well-respected children’s book by author and illustrator Robert Vincent,” From the Pocket of an Overcoat” ( Friendly Falls Press, Archway Publishing from Simon &amp, Schuster ). This endearing book about the adoption of a beloved cat captures the holiday spirit and is ideal for kids, parents, and pet lovers everywhere. It is best for classroom settings, gift exchanges, stocking stuffers, or wrapped gifts.

The book” From the Pocket of an Overcoat” &nbsp is based on the real-life tale of a cat named Max who was adopted by Vincent’s son Matthew from an impoverished woman in Dallas who had found Max when he was an infant kitten and had him in the pocket of her overcoat while she was looking for him. Max can be found online at Amazon, bn.com, target…, as well as at select bookstores.

The story centers on a friendly cat named Max Buckles and how he moves from Sally’s cozy overcoat pocket in the city to the country with Farmer Buckle and his other animals, including four dogs named Sam, Tots, Scotty ( who is not Scottish but is plaid ), and Junior BuckLES. He learns a genuine sense of belonging in his novel family along the way. This is a tale about self-identity, acceptance, animal rescue, and adoption as it is told through the journey of Max the cat.

” The holidays are the ideal time for family and friends to reflect, express gratitude, and celebrate love.” This tale serves as a reminder of how to be kind, accept our differences, and be compassionate, which is precisely what we need right now and in the coming year, according to Vincent.
